Deborah K. Stewart, 63, of 24 Maywood Terrace, was listed in fair condition Tuesday morning at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, after being injured Monday afternoon in a weather-related accident on Huntington Street.
City police said she had possible bleeding on the brain.
A second motorist, Jillian L. Garnsey, 25, of 1708 Ohio St., Apt. 97, complained of head and back pains and was taken to Samaritan Medical Center.
Police said the southwest-bound Stewart sedan slid out of control on snow and freezing rain about 3:50 p.m. and entered the opposite lane. Ms. Garnsey, driving northeast, lost control while trying to avoid a collision, police said. After sideswiping, both cars went off the road and struck trees and shrubs, police said.
Ms. Garnsey was cited with driving an uninspected auto.
