LOWVILLE Two Utica men were arrested Friday in the theft of $2,000 worth of razors from the Lowville Walmart after the vehicle they were in broke down on Route 12 in the town of Remsen.
State police charged Nathaniel Walker, 39, and John N. Makuch, 63, with fourth-degree grand larceny. Mr. Walker also was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. The two men were arraigned in Lowville Town Court and sent to Lewis County jail on unspecified bail.
Troopers said they responded to the report of a disabled vehicle and found hypodermic needles and the stash of Gillette Fusion razors during a search.
