CARTHAGE — Dylan T. Boyd, 21, of 266 State St., was being held Monday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, on allegations that he choked his wife, Keaira, early Saturday, according to state police.

Mr. Boyd is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation in connection with a fight about 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Boyd, 19, nearly passed out, police alleged.

Wilna Town Justice Richard A. Buckingham set bail at $5,000.
