The Winona Forest Recreation Association received a grant of $1,400 from nonprofit Parks & Trails New York to increase tourism and raise awareness of its forest trails.

The grant comes from the nonprofit’s Growing the Grassroots Capacity Building Grants program.

The association, in a release announcing the funding, said it would use the money to create a new brochure and newsletter.
