BOONVILLE A Port Leyden woman on Friday was accused of taking money for an Avon order from a town of Boonville resident with no intent of providing the products.
Oneida County sheriffs deputies charged Brittany M. Lloyd, 23, Route 12, with petit larceny, answerable in Boonville Town Court.
She was accused of soliciting an order for Avon products and requesting prepayment of $193 without ever placing an order or providing the complainant, whom deputies did not identify, with products ordered.
The investigation indicated Ms. Lloyd has not submitted any orders with Avon for the complainant or any other people.
Anyone having similar contact with her is asked to call Deputy Robert Frankland at 736-0141 to file a complaint.
