Applications for a state corrections officer examination, to be administered statewide April 13, will be accepted until late February, according to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
Applications with a nonrefundable $35 fee must by postmarked by Feb. 25.
The test will be given in English and Spanish.
The starting salary for a corrections officer is $39,014. New officers who complete an eight-week training program and one-year probation will receive a pay increase to $46,990.
