Kevin Morrison scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the third period, as the Thousand Islands Privateers defeated the New York Bluefins, 4-2 on Thursday night in a Federal Hockey League game at Watertown Municipal Arena.
Adam McAllister chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Privateers (17-19), who won their second consecutive game, both against the Bluefins (4-22), after losing their previous five.
Goalie Peter Dundovich made 29 saves for Thousand Islands, which will host the Danbury Whalers at 7:35 tonight.
James Gordon also scored for Thousand Islands.
■ The FHL announced on Thursday that it has taken over management of the Williamsport Outlaws, which ceased operations on Monday. Only four of the Outlaws remaining 12 games all on the road against Danville and Danbury will be played. The former Williamsport players have been given the options of reporting to the team they are each claimed by in a dispersal draft, continue playing for the now Pennsylvania Outlaws, or be granted free-agent status.
