LISBON Jimmy Robinson scored 23 points to lead the Lisbon boys basketball team to a 60-39 win over Hammond in a semifinal of the James Darcy Memorial Tournament on Tuesday.
The game was also an Northern Athletic Conference West Division contest.
Lisbon (8-5 overall, 6-4 division) will meet Canton for the championship at 7 tonight, while Hammond (5-8, 4-6) will meet St. Lawrence Central in the consolation game at 5:45 p.m.
Luke Putney scored 16 points for Lisbon. Darrin Bresett led the Red Devils with a 14-point effort.
CANTON 55, ST. LAWRENCE 63
Bryant Wentworth blocked a shot in the lane with two seconds left to help Canton (5-8) hold off the Larries in the other semifinal of the James Darcy Memorial Tournament.
Wentworth finished with 13 points and 10 assists for the Golden Bears.
Evan LaPoint led Canton with 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Eddie Bortnick added 11 points.
Zane Ramsdell scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Larries (6-7). Josh White scored 14 points for SLC.
POTSDAM 60, MASSENA 40
Shawn Clark and Tom Hubbs each scored 12 points to help Potsdam (8-4, 4-4) past the Red Raiders in a Central Division game in Massena.
Massena (8-6, 5-3) had an 18-13 lead after one quarter, but Potsdam went on a 20-4 spurt in the second to take control.
Zack Rusaw led Massena with 10 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MASSENA 51, ST. LAWRENCE 37
Alisha Jacobs produced 20 points to send Massena (9-6) past the Larries in a nonleague game in Brasher Falls.
Marissa Manley scored 15 points for Massena. Breanna Vatter led the Larries (8-7) with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Lindsey Thayer grabbed 14 rebounds for the Larries.
HAMMOND 54, POTSDAM 47
Alyssa Crosby scored 22 points to send Hammond (12-1) past the Sandstoners in a nonleague contest in Potsdam.
Breanna Sapp paced Potsdam (2-10) with 20 poitns and Sara Vivlamore scored 12.
NORWOOD-NORFOLK 36, COLTON-PIERREPONT 25
Carlea Weaver and Katie Ames both scored 11 points as the Flyers (3-10) defeated Colton-Pierrepont in an interdivision game in Norwood. Morgan Doyle led the Colts (4-9, 3-5) with 11 points.
CHATEAUGAY 36, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 24
A 12-1 spurt in the third quarter helped Chateaugay pull away from the Panthers (5-7) in an interdivision game in Brushton.
Chateaugay (10-1, 7-0) led 22-18 at halftime.
Makayla Fleury led Chateaugay with 11 points.
