PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Chantelle M. Berube, 22, of 1449 state Route 420, Norfolk, and Brian D. Laprade, 23, of 250 Andrews St., Massena, with petit larceny at 8:20 p.m. Monday following a reported shoplifting incident at the Massena Wal-Mart. Berube reportedly walked past the last point of sale without paying for $320.44 worth of merchandise. Police said Laprade, described as Berubes boyfriend, reportedly placed several Nintendo DS games inside a diaper bag Berube was carrying. Berube was also charged with a second count of petit larceny stemming from a previous shoplifting incident at the Wal-Mart store.
STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Michael L. Byington, 53, of Massena for a stop sign violation at 1:20 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Grove Street.
