Christopher D. “Chris” Restey, of Ontario, a devoted husband, father, son and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 18, 2013, at the age of 44.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Tracy; his children, Olivia & Cole; parents, Victoria Hamilton and W. David and Beverly Restey; his brothers, Spencer and Jonathan Restey; Rick (Jona) Harris; mother-in-law Penny Behrendt; father-in-law, Tom Behrendt; sister-in-law, Trina (Bryan) Lahman; brother-in-law, Casey (Heather) Behrendt; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends.

Chris was a 1987 graduate of Wayne Central High School and an officer with the NY State Dept. of Corrections.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Living Word Assembly of God Church, 2344 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. A celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment private. Memorials in memory of Chris may be directed to Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, 840 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14607, or the Ontario Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 444, Ontario, NY 14519.
