CHAUMONT The village and the town of Lyme renewed their five-year shared services agreement with a few changes to make the partnership more equal, according to Lyme Supervisor Scott G. Aubertine.
Town officials have complained the previous agreement, which expired in November, unfairly put more burden on Lyme town workers to assist the village without providing sufficient money or services in return.
To even the duties, Mr. Aubertine said, the village Board of Trustees agreed to mow the public ball field on Morris Tract Road and hire a person to work at the offices entrance desk once a week.
