Port Leyden man sentenced to probation for child porn

LOWVILLE — A Port Leyden man who had child pornography was sentenced in Lewis County Court on Friday to 10 years of probation supervision.

Kevin G. Sexton, 37, of 1954 Route 12D, was also ordered to pay $2,850 in court fees on charges of possession of and promoting a sexual performance by a child, to which he pleaded guilty last January. He was listed as a Level 2 sex offender.

Mr. Sexton, who was accused of having child pornography in January 2011, was given credit for serving the past year under interim intensive probation supervision.

Also in Lewis County Court Friday:

Mark V. Kohn, 40, Rome, was sentenced to five years’ probation, $12,100 restitution and $375 in court fees on a charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, to which he pleaded guilty Sept. 14. County Judge Daniel R. King also issued an eight-year order of protection on the victim’s behalf. Mr. Kohn was accused of having six forged checks belonging to Ingeborg Davidson in May, June and August 2011 in the town of Lewis.

Allan F. Marolf,28, of 5111 Route 26, Turin, was arraigned on a charge of felony driving while intoxicated and pleaded guilty to the charge. Sentencing was set for March 22. Mr. Marolf was stopped Oct. 19 on Route 26 in the town of Turin.

James M. Rice, 18, of 7468 Penny Settlement Road, Port Leyden, was arraigned on a charge of petit larceny and pleaded guilty to that charge. Sentencing was set for March 22. He was accused of, on May 2, stealing a chain saw belonging to Charles Belinky in the town of Lyonsdale.

Michael T. Sage, 34, of 7107 Brantingham Road, Greig, had his case of aggravated DWI adjourned to Feb. 8. He was charged July 28 on Brantingham Road in the town of Greig.

Billie J. Wilmot, 35, of 9624 Main St., had his case of first-degree criminal sex act, two counts apiece of third-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of third-degree sexual abuse and five counts of third-degree criminal sex act transferred to acting Judge Donald E. Todd due to a conflict involving Judge King. The matter was adjourned to next Friday.

Mr. Wilmot was accused of having improper sexual relations with two girls under the age of 17, one between September 2010 and December 2011 and the other between February and April.
