TURIN Liz Egnew accounted for 14 kills, 15 service points and five aces to help fuel the South Lewis volleyball team to a 19-25, 19-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-20 Frontier League C Division victory over Lowville on Thursday.
Chloe Stinebrickner distributed 35 assists, and Jayne Strigle recorded 31 digs. Heather Bates and Gabby Hartley hit nine and eight kills, respectively, for South Lewis (10-4).
For the Red Raiders, Tasha Widrick handed out 38 assists. Chelsea Koster posted 45 digs, and Haley Riley scored on 27 kills for Lowville (12-2), which now shares first place in the division with Sandy Creek.
SANDY CREEK 3, THOUSAND ISLANDS 0
Isabel Bray provided 17 service points, eight aces and nine digs as the Comets secured a 25-23, 25-16, 25-23 C Division victory at Clayton.
Kylie Hanni chipped in with nine kills, two blocks, seven digs and 10 points, and McKenna Guarasce supplied 13 kills. Maddie Bush added seven kills, nine points and nine digs for Sandy Creek (12-2).
Ally Cornaire contributed 12 points, four aces and five assists, and Autumn Dutcher hit six kills for Thousand Islands (4-10).
BEAVER RIVER 3, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0
Keegan Bowman recorded 14 assists and five kills as the Beavers swept the Panthers 25-13, 25-22, 25-18 in a C Division match in Belleville.
Sidney Hawksley added nine service points and four aces for Beaver River (8-4), while Melissa Hunt had 11 kills and five aces.
Daryan Wheeler led Belleville Henderson (1-13) with nine service points, five aces and five digs. Jenta White added seven service points.
CARTHAGE 3, INDIAN RIVER 0
Carly Sullivan supplied seven assists and two aces as the Comets swept the Warriors 25-12, 25-19, 25-13 in an A Division match at Carthage.
Claire Sauter chipped in with six assists for Carthage (11-3, 9-3), while Gabbee Park and Courtney Cunningham had five kills each.
Ingrid Langdalen paced Indian River (1-12, 1-11) with five assists and four aces.
CARTHAGE 64, WATERTOWN 36
Walter Jeter scored 19 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out six assists as the Comets downed the Cyclones at Case Middle School and wrapped up the A Division title.
Peyton McLaurin had 15 points for Carthage (13-1, 9-1), while Andrew Smith hit for 11.
Shyheim Gadson led Watertown (3-10, 3-7) with 12 points.
INDIAN RIVER 36, Ihc 23
Katie Brierton recorded 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals as the Warriors (10-2, 8-1) beat the host Cavaliers in an A Division game.
Olivia Miles led IHC (2-12, 1-9) with seven points.
SOUTH JEFFERSON 62, LOWVILLE 25
Clarissa Perry and Marisa Clark each scored 12 points as the Spartans routed the Red Raiders in a crossover game at Adams.
Brooke VanCoughnett added 11 points, six rebounds and six assists for South Jefferson (11-0).
Anna Platz paced Lowville (2-8) with nine points.
INDIAN RIVER 54, SANDY CREEK 32
The Warriors used six pins to beat the Comets, earning their fifth straight A Division title.
Tucker Amato (99 pounds), Devin Thorton (113), Michael Mullins (120), Nick Toutant (126), Sonny McPherson (182) and Thomas Gitlin (195) won via fall for Indian River (17-5, 9-2).
Justin Bonney (132), Zach Pfluger (145) and Zach Akey (285) recorded pins for Sandy Creek (10-7, 6-5).
LOWVILLE 43, IHC 29
The Red Raiders won eight weight classes, including four by pinfall, to secure an interdivision win at Immaculate Heart Central.
AJ Thomas (195), Jacob Curry (160), Tim Fargo (138) and Caleb Mayer (113) recorded pins for Lowville (16-7, 4-4).
Greg Abbass (220), Nicholas Koelmel (152) and Peter Winkler (106) registered pins for IHC (5-12, 4-6).
WATERTOWN 98, INDIAN RIVER 82
Andrew Marilley captured the 500-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke and contributed to a pair of fastest relays to help lift the Cyclones to an A Division victory at Philadelphia.
Michael Netto (200 IM, 100 breaststroke) and Brad McKinney (50, 100 free) each added wins in two events and swam on a first-place relay for Watertown (10-0).
Ethan Klock finished second in the 100 butterfly for Indian River (4-4) with a school-record time of 56.50 seconds. He also swam a leg on the winning 200 free relay.
SOUTH LEWIS 75, GOUVERNEUR 60
Patrick Pominville claimed the 200 IM and 100 fly and swam on a first-place relay to help guide the Falcons (3-5-1) to a B Division victory at Gouverneur.
Luke Dunkleburg took the 50 free and 100 backstroke and contributed to a winning relay for the Wildcats (0-10).
