St. Lawrence University freshmen Vinny Maniscalco and Ella Martin were named men’s and women’s Liberty League rookies of the week, respectively.

Martin was the top women’s finisher in 4 minutes, 49.4 seconds in mixed 1,500 meters at the Ottawa Super Saturday meet in Ottawa, Ontario, last weekend. Martin was the 1,000 runner-up in 3:09.67, while Maniscalco was second in the long jump at 6.22 meters and ran on the third-place 1,600 relay.

■ Clarkson University’s Marques Charlton was named to the honor roll in men’s basketball. Clarkson’s Ashley Loggins and St. Lawrence’s Kelly Legg were named to the honor roll in women’s basketball.
