GREIG Lewis County sheriffs deputies charged three Lowville men Friday in connection with break-ins on Steam Mill Road.
Jeffrey L. Stewart Jr., 28, of 6742 River Road, Jacob T. Farney, 22, of 6755 Number Four Road, and Darick R. Brand, 23, Route 812, are accused of breaking into two camps and a shed, taking scrap metal from the premises.
According to the Sheriffs Department, the men were discovered at the Greig Store a short time later with the stolen scrap metal in the box of a pickup truck being operated by Mr. Stewart.
The three were arraigned in Lowville Village Court and sent to Lewis County jail, Lowville.
State police assisted in the matter.
