POTSDAM — Sasha S. Monroe, 23, Norfolk, was charged by state police with petit larceny at 8 p.m. Friday.

She is accused of attempting to steal $316.93 worth of batteries and other assorted merchandise from Walmart, 7494 Route 11.

This is Ms. Monroe’s second petit larceny charge this month; she allegedly attempted to steal two bottles of soda from Al Smith’s Superette, 4 S. Main St., Norfolk, on Jan. 1.

She is scheduled to appear in Potsdam Town Court.
