POTSDAM — The local syncro skating team recently competed at Colonials in Lowell, Mass, competing against teams from across the country. The coach is Lisa Cardinal and the team consist of skaters from Canton, Potsdam, Ogdensburg, Norwood, and Massena.

The Ice Angels, sponsored by the St. Lawrence Figure Skating Club, placed second in the Beginner 2 Division; Saint Sensations, also sponsored by the St. Lawrence Figure Skating Club, tied for third place (finishing fourth with tiebreaker) in the Pre-Juvenile Division; Rainbow Connection, sponsored by the Potsdam Figure Skating Club, captured first place in the Open Juvenile Division, and Mystic Ice, also sponsored by the Potsdam Figure Skating Club, earned first place in the Open Adult Division.
