SCHENECTADY The Jefferson Community College mens basketball team let an eight-point halftime lead slip away and fell in their second-semester Region 3 debut, 86-70 to Schenectady County Community College on Sunday.
Derrick Williams scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for JCC (5-8 overall, 3-6 conference). Ryan Tomlin added 22 points.
Reese Jackson paced Schenectady with 27 points and 12 rebounds, and Terrance Blanchard contributed 23 points.
MAINE PRESQUE ISLE 61, SUNY CANTON 58
Michael Warner scored 17 points to lead Maine Presque Isle to a 61-58 win over host SUNY Canton.
Patrick Manifold also scored 16 points for MPI (7-7). Khalid Vaughn had 18 points, Scott Bartenstein 11 and Ryan Lamica 11 for the Roos (3-9).
