TURIN An Indiana man was injured about 3 p.m. Saturday when he was ejected from a snowmobile in a field west of Route 12 in the town of West Turin.
Kenneth R. Polito, 28, Burns Harbor, Ind., was thrown about 70 feet from his 2003 800cc Ski-Doo and landed in a field across from the Edge Motel, Lewis County sheriffs deputies said. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica, complaining of chest pain. His condition was not known Sunday.
The Sheriffs Department was assisted at the scene by Turin Ambulance, Constableville Fire and Rescue and the state Department of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers.
