FORT COVINGTON Ogdensburg Free Academy overcame a 28-point performance by Salmon Rivers Abby Kelly, who also scored her 1,000th career point, during a tight 50-49 Northern Athletic Conference Central Division girls basketball win on Friday night.
Riley Luckie and Meg Dodge each scored 12 points for the Blue Devils (8-2 overall, 5-1 NAC).
Kelly, a junior guard, hit four 3-point field goals and eight free throws. She joined her mother, Jocelyn Furnia (1,140 points), as the schools only mother-daughter 1,000-point career scoring duo. Kelly (five rebounds, four assists) hit two of three free throws with 1.5 seconds left on the clock to cut the deficit to a point for the Shamrocks (6-2, 2-2).
St. Lawrence 71, St. Regis Falls 23
Breanna Vatter scored 15 points and Sam Richards added 10 for the Larries (4-5, 3-2), who opened the first quarter with a 26-8 lead and led 49-14 at halftime at Brasher Falls in an interdivision game.
Brittany Rondeau scored 14 points for St. Regis Falls (0-6, 0-5).
Tupper Lake 48, Parishville-Hopkinton 30
Katie Stuart scored 30 points as the Lumberjacks raced out to a 22-2 first-quarter lead in an interdivision game at Tupper Lake.
Lindsey Maroun added 10 points for Tupper Lake (7-2).
Brianna Hayes and Kodi Perkins scored eight points apiece for the Panthers (2-4).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Chateaugay 56, Madrid-Waddington 47
Devon Barnes struck for 15 points as the Bulldogs beat the Yellow Jackets in an interdivision game at Chateaugay.
Noah Bowes connected for 13 points for Chateaugay (6-3).
Greg Thompson and Colin OBryan led Madrid-Waddington (6-3) with 12 points apiece.
St. Regis Falls 58, St. Lawrence 38
Caleb Green and Brandon Votra each scored 21 points as the Saints overcame a 13-10 first-quarter deficit for their 10th straight win in an interdivision game at St. Regis Falls.
Josh White and Zane Ramsdell paced the Larries (2-6) with 14 points each.
BRUSHTON-MOIRA 53, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 21
Alex Burnett netted 12 points and Loren Traynor hit for another 10 as the host Panthers (4-3) built a commanding 32-13 lead by halftime in an interdivision game at Brushton.
Kyle Martens paced the Flyers (0-10) with 10 points.

Massena parlayed a 36-17 halftime lead into a nonleague home win over the Bulldogs.
Zack Rusaw worked the paint for 24 points to pace the Raiders (5-4), while Joey LaBelle had 13 points.
Mike Guardino led the Bulldogs (8-3) with seven points.
Lisbon 38, N. Adirondack 28
Adam Felt connected for 23 points as the Golden Knights (5-4) earned a nonleague victory at Ellenburg Depot.
HOCKEY
Norwood-Norfolk 9, Salmon River 5
What was expected to be a defensive matchup turned out to be anything but, as Norwood-Norfolk skated to a big interdivision home victory.
Kaden Pickering finished with two goals and three assists for Norwood-Norfolk (5-3, 3-2).
Tristan Harvey added two goals and an assist, while Kyle Bent accounted for the other goal. Cody Smith had three assists.
Naylen Laffin had a natural hat trick in the second period to pace the Shamrocks (1-6-1, 0-3-1).
