Anthony J. Holmes, 33, of 206 Franklin St., Apt. 113, was charged by Watertown police Friday evening at 201 Sterling St. with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.
Police said Mr. Holmes threatened Jacob W.C. Berry with a knife in the 100 block of Union Street while yelling that he was going to kill him. He also is accused of hitting Mr. Berry in the back of the head as the latter tried to flee.
Mr. Holmes was being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.
