A Watertown man and an alleged teen accomplice face a charge that they committed a daytime burglary at a Columbia Street home.
Roger D. Brogdan Jr., 23, of 730 W. Main St., and Jared M. Thomas, 16, of 307 S. Rutland St., were charged by Watertown police Thursday with second-degree burglary and petit larceny.
It is alleged that just after noon Thursday, the pair entered 1641 Columbia St. and Mr. Brogdan stole a PlayStation 3 game belonging to Muranda Johnson, while Mr. Thomas stole $106 in cash, $33 in gift cards, a pellet gun and paddles for the PlayStation.
Police said they fled the residence when someone returned home, but were apprehended with the assistance of the Jefferson County Sheriffs Departments K9 unit and tracks left in the snow.
Both were arraigned Friday before acting City Judge Catherine J. Palermo and ordered held without bail at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
