Alice S. Smith, 85, of 4090 Ver Plank Road, Clay, passed January 1, 2013 at her home where she was under the care of her family and Hospice of Central NY.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan 5 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday Jan 4 at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the N. Watertown Cemetery in the spring.
Born on July 9, 1927, in Watertown, daughter of Charles and Ethel Maitland Abrams, she attended Watertown High School.
Following school she worked at J.J. Newberry as a salesclerk, was a homemaker while her daughter was young and retired from Model Homes where she was a machine operator and seamstress for over ten years.
She married Michael Smith Jr. on August 10, 1947 at Trinity Episcopal Church. The couple later moved to Clay in 2009.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping and gardening.Among her survivors are her loving husband of 65 years, Michael Smith Jr., Clay; a daughter and son in law, Sandra A. and Roy C. Lytle, Liverpool; a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer E. and Matthew M. Miller, Liverpool; a grandson and his wife, Roy C. and JoAnn Lytle, Pennellville, NY; 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Charles, Arthur and Arnold Abrams all died before her.
