NORWOOD — Funeral services for 87-year-old Charles “Everett” Kingsley, of 45 O’Brien Road, Norwood, will be held on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Burial will be held in the Hale Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday from 2 pm until the time of the funeral. Mr. Kingsley passed away Friday afternoon.

Everett is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances, Norwood; a brother, Allan and Sandy Kingsley, Potsdam; three sisters, Audrey Bicknell, Potsdam; Norma and Robert Burns, Raymondville; Cheryl and Jon Hazen, Raymondville and his nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Evelyn Jean Farnsworth.

Born in Norfolk on March 7, 1925 to the late Dean and Bernice Cyrus Kingsley, he married Frances Papaw on August 12, 1948. He worked for the Operators Engineers Union 545 in Syracuse, NY. He was a member of the Norfolk Rod and Gun Club and was a honorary member of the Stag Hunting Club. Everett enjoyed hunting, trapping and making maple syrup. Everett served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, where he served in the Pacific. Memorial Donations can be made to the Potsdam Animal Shelter.
