WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Mrs. Lucy Mae Landis, age 85 of Franklin, TN formerly of Massena, NY and Mount Dora, FL passed December 28, 2012.

Born in Hannibal, NY at her family homestead settled by her Great Great Great Grandfather John Shutts in 1829. She was the fifth of eight children born to her late parents Martha Adelaide Gray and George William Bishop. Preceded also by her husbands, David R. Kells and F. Parks Landis; brothers, H. Albert Bishop, John H. Bishop, Bernard Bishop, Edward Bishop; sister, Esther Landis. She is survived by children, Richard E. Kells of Fayetteville, NC, John J. Kells of Franklin, TN, Katherine A. King of Junction City, KS, and Kenneth R. Kells of Massena, NY; step-children, Frank Landis of Erie, CO, Nancy Hochberger of Culver, CA, William Landis of Schenectady, NY; brothers, Franklin Bishop of Eustis, FL and Robert Bishop of Cape Coral, FL; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She will be missed by many other family members and friends.

Graduated from Cato-Meridian High School and Rochester Business Institute.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church, Rev. Sally Hughes officiating. Visitation 10-11AM prior to service and immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
