Christopher A. Wilson, 31, of 306 Stone Drive, Black River, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies at 1:10 p.m. Sunday with first-degree promoting prison contraband.
It is alleged that while incarcerated Friday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Mr. Wilson possessed a flame-producing device, a lighter, during a search of his cell.
He was arraigned in Brownville Town Court and sent back to the PSB on $10,000 bail.
