William C. Queal Jr., 41, of 530 Franklin St., Apt. 3, was charged by Watertown police about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said he had four pills of clonazepam, a controlled narcotic, without a prescription, at 229 Washington St.

He is due to answer the charge in City Court.
