City police charged Matthew L. Owensby, 22, of 1215 Faichney Drive, Apt. 2, with second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal mischief following a domestic incident Tuesday.

According to police, Mr. Owensby pushed Candice M. Cooper, who was listed as his wife and living at the same address, into a kitchen wall and raised his fist as if he were going to strike her. Police said he then threw at her half of an interior door, which he had broken earlier with a kick, and it landed on her. Police said during the incident he damaged a television, valued at $300, the door, valued at $150, and a glass covering of a hallway light, valued at $10.

Arrested at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday, he was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held pending arraignment in City Court.
