BROWNVILLE — A Chaumont woman suffered chest injuries Sunday afternoon when her sedan slid on snow-covered Route 12E in the town of Brownville and struck a utility pole, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Mildred D. Larose, 72, of 12444 Route 12E, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, for treatment.

Deputies said she was southbound when at about 4 p.m. her car began to “fishtail,” causing her to lose control. No summonses were issued.
