Jane was a dedicated teacher and really devoted to doing her best in every endeavor. She enjoyed quilting, skiing and touring in her antique autos. Our memories of Jane will be cherished forever.
Surviving are her husband, Arnold G. Holliday, a son, Arnold (Kayleen) Holliday Jr., Mexico; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mexico, Arnold III, Camden, and Paul, Pulaski; four great-grandchildren, Carrisa and Coltin, Mexico, Hunter and Haleigh, Camden; a brother, Robert Lawton, Phoenix, Ariz., and a sister, Norma Tyler, Oswego.
The following is an appropriate tribute to Jane:
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best. (Author Unknown)
There will be no calling hours. Spring burial will be in North Scriba Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Janes memory to the Lycoming Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 51, Lycoming, N.Y. 13093.
Arrangements are in care of Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico, N.Y.
