POTSDAM — A 30-point third quarter helped lead the Potsdam boys basketball team to an 81-46 win over Canton in an Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game on Thursday night.

Konnor Bigwarfe led Potsdam (2-2 overall and division) with 24 points and nine assists.

Shawn Clark scored 20 points with 10 rebounds, and Will Coleman added 16 points for the Sandstoners.

Evan Lapoint led Canton (3-3, 2-3) with 17 points.

MALONE 59, MASSENA 38

Mitch Gallagher scored 13 points to help Malone knock off the Red Raiders (3-2, 2-2) in a Central Division contest in Massena.

Jon Dunlavey scored 11 points for Malone (8-0, 6-0).

Joey LaBelle led Massena with 17 points and Tyler Haas tossed in 11.

OFA 78, SALMON RIVER 32

Breton LaRose scored 16 points and helped the Blue Devils get out to a 46-11 halftime advantage in a Central Division win over Salmon River in Ogdensburg.

Matt Piercey added 14 points for OFA (7-1, 4-1). Colin Ross, Kinnon LaRose and Jack Manke each added 11 points for the Blue Devils.

Joshua Hynes led Salmon River (1-7, 0-5) with 11 points and Kiio Jacobs tallied 10.

HARRISVILLE 56, HAMMOND 28

Jared Dreythaler’s 26-point effort led Harrisville past the Red Devils (3-4, 3-3) in a West Division game in Hammond.

Nate Weaver added 16 points for Harrisville (6-1, 4-1).

Darrin Bresett scored 13 points to lead Hammond.

HEUVELTON 54, LISBON 38

Heuvelton was behind 18-14 at halftime but went on an 18-8 run in the third quarter to knock off the Golden Knights (2-3) in a West Division contest in Lisbon.

Cody Holland scored 16 points for Heuvelton (4-2). Dedrick Johnson and Brandon Power each scored 11 for Heuvelton.

Adam Felt scored 15 points to lead Lisbon and Jimmy Robinson tossed in 14.

EDWARDS-KNOX 78, HERMON-DEKALB 47

Kaden Dandrow produced 24 points for the Cougars (6-0) in a West Division victory over Hermon-DeKalb in Russell.

Tyler Tresidder scored 13 points and Ryan Gollinger added 10 for the Cougars. Zach Robinson led the Demons (2-4, 2-3) with 16 points. Macauley Snell scored 13 points and Cody Merritt tossed in 10 for the Demons.

MORRISTOWN 58, CLIFTOn-FINE 43

Dakota Marshall scored 15 points as the Green Rockets (1-6, 1-5) won their first game of the season in a West Division contest aagainst Clifton-Fine at Star Lake.

Devin Dulmage added 12 points for Morristown. Carl Provost led the Eagles (0-8, 0-5) with 13 points and Chase Koster added 11.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 70, ST. LAWRENCE 43

The Yellow Jackets (5-1, 3-1) used a 16-1 spurt in the second quarter to pull away and defeat St. Lawrence Central in a North Division game in Madrid.

Colin O’Bryan led Madrid-Waddington with 15 points and Maurice Reage tallied 11.

Josh White scored 14 points for the Larries (2-4, 1-2) and Zane Ramsdell added 12.

COLTON-PIERREPONT 44, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 37

Brent Hoyt tallied 15 points to lead the Colts (4-3, 2-2) past Norwood-Norfolk in an intradivision game in Colton.

Dan Devin led the Flyers (0-8, 0-5) with 14 points.

Brandon Sawyer and Garrett Waite each added 10 points for Norwood-Norfolk.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CHATEAUGAY 57, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 31

Courtney Boyea scored 31 points, with 21 coming on 3-point baskets, to lead the Bulldogs (4-0) past Brushton-Moira in an East Division game in Chateaugay.

Makayla Fleury added 14 points for Chateaugay. Caitlyn LaPage led the Panthers (0-5, 0-4) with 15 points.

HOCKEY

OFA 5, SALMON RIVER 4 (OT)

Jake Garrison scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, as OFA (3-3, 3-1) defeated the Shamrocks in an intradivision game in Fort Covington.

Brandon Mullin, Zach Barr and Burke Comeau also scored for OFA.

Austin Leroux and Tye Terrance both scored twice for Salmon River (1-5-1, 0-2-1).

WRESTLING

CANTON 45, MALONE 33

The Golden Bears used three wins by pin to defeat Malone (0-4) in a match in Canton.

Justin Foster (132 pounds), Jared Cascanette (160) and T.J. Lumbard (220) won by pin for Canton (2-2). Joe Juarez (285), Cameron Searles (113), Travis Beach (126), Jamiel Stapleton (152) and Cody Smith (182) recorded pins for Malone.
