Watertown police say three people went to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment Friday following two accidents caused by vehicles sliding on slush.

Shortly after 7 a.m., Shannon L. Boyer, 20, Dallastown, Pa., could not control her westbound car at Factory and Mechanic streets, and skidded into the rear of a stopped auto operated by Cassandra A. Freeman, 24, Evans Mills, police said. The Freeman car was pushed into the opposite lane, where it collided with a vehicle driven by Glenda M. McDermid, 43, Carthage.

Ms. Freeman required treatment for leg pains, and Ms. McDermid had arm pains, police said.

Ms. Boyer was cited with following too close.

No summonses were issued in an accident at 2:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Washington Street. Police said Troy C. Parker, 22, of 155 Park Ave., attempted to stop, but his car slid into the rear of a sedan operated by Emily E. Herman, 20, Calcium, who was stopped in a northbound line of traffic. Miss Herman suffered neck pain, police said.
