Clayton — Mr. David A. Bourcy, age 59, died December 16th at his home from natural causes. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home in Clayton. There will be a graveside committal service at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Union Cemetery.

Dave was born November 16th, 1953, in Watertown to the late Peter and Shirley Thibault Bourcy. He graduated in 1971 from Clayton Central School. On May 7th, 1977, he married the former Karen Smith at St. Mary’s Church in Clayton with Father Euclid Maurier officiating.

Dave worked for 15 years at Wingrath Brothers in Clayton, also Napa in Clayton and for short time at Wellesley Island Building Supply. In 1989, he went to work for the NYS Corrections and was employed by the Cape Vincent Correctional Facility at the time of his death.

He enjoyed doing carpentry, reading and watching the NY Yankees and Giants play. Surviving besides his wife, Karen, are two children, Brian, at home, and Stephanie (Andy) Xenias, of West Henrietta NY; one brother, Michael (Elizabeth) of Dexter; two sisters, Christine Bourcy of Clayton and Mrs. Lorraine (Gawaine) Ward of Alexandria Bay; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.

One son, Bradley, died at birth.
