The Watertown City Council agreed Monday night to appropriate $12,000 to support the new Sunday hours at the Roswell P. Flower Memorial Library.
The money will pay for hiring of two clerks on a permanent basis and for overtime for librarians and maintenance staff. The funding from the 2012-13 city budget was going to be used to install an outdoor stairwell from a city parking lot to the downtown landmark.
