CARTHAGE Zakiya Saunders scored a game-high 21 points, hauled in 15 rebounds and made four assists to pace Carthage past Altmar-Parish-Williamstown, 55-41 on Monday night in a girls basketball crossover victory in the Frontier League.
Lexi Smith added 16 points, along with four assists, three steals and four rebounds for the Comets (3-3, 3-2).
Alexis Stevens scored 11 points to lead the Rebels (3-4).
BOYS SWIMMING
SOUTH JEFFERSON 109, SOUTH LEWIS 50
Connor Dillon and Addison Roberts each won two individual events to help the Spartans earn a Frontier League interdivision victory over the Falcons (2-2) in Adams.
Dillon placed first in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, while Roberts claimed wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle for South Jefferson (3-1).
VOLLEYBALL
SOUTH JEFFERSON 3, SOUTH LEWIS 2
Jackie Decker recorded 20 assists and 16 service points to lead the Spartans to a crossover victory.
Alex Mooney totaled 17 kills and five blocks for South Jefferson (6-1, 5-1), which won, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21.
Jayne Strigle was credited with 37 digs, three aces and 10 service points for the Falcons (3-4), Liz Egnew had 17 kills and two blocks, and Chloe Stinebrickner compiled three kills, 29 assists and six service points.
BEAVER RIVER 3, INDIAN RIVER 0
Melissa Hunt provided 11 kills, nine points and four aces to help the Beavers gain a Frontier League interdivision victory over the Warriors (1-5) at Philadelphia.
Keegan Bowman supplied 20 assists while Madison Compton contributed 11 points and seven kills for Beaver River (4-2), which won in straight sets, 25-14, 25-9, 24-14.
Brittany Widrick and Genevieve Fidler added five kills apiece for the Beavers.
THOUSAND ISLANDS 3, APW 2
Amie Ferguson registered 14 aces and 16 assists, and Chloe Mason totaled seven kills and four blocks to pace the Vikings to a crossover triumph.
Autumn Dutcher chipped in with 13 kills for Thousand Islands (2-5), which won, 18-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-14, 25-14.
Shayla Nichols recorded seven kills and one ace for the Rebels (3-5), and Rhiannon Wheeler contributed 10 assistsm six aces and one kill.
