LOWVILLE — Tasha Widrick distributed 34 assists to help lead Lowville to a 25-27, 25-23, 25-18, 25-17 Frontier League interdivision volleyball victory over Watertown on Friday.

Chelsea Koster finished with 16 service points, six aces and 17 digs, while Haley Riley hit 16 kills and Morgan McAleese added 11 points, seven kills and two blocks for Lowville (5-1).

Nemesis Ruiz registered 21 kills, two blocks and 10 digs for the Cyclones, and Stacia Wallace chipped in with seven kills, five aces and 14 digs. Leah Rojas supplied two aces and 21 digs, and Jenna Hibbard added four kills, two aces, 23 assists and 11 digs for Watertown (3-3, 3-2).

INDIAN RIVER 3, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0

Ingrid Langdalen powered the Warriors to their first win of year as they swept the Panthers 25-18, 25-14, 25-16 in an interdivision game at Belleville.

Kaliya Ramsvig added nine service points and nine assists for Indian River (1-4). Cameo Holmes had six points and three aces.

Ashley Hodge led Belleville Henderson (0-6) with four service points and three aces. Breanne Gilligan added three points.

BOYS SWIMMING

CYCLONES WIN CHRISTMAS RELAYS

Andrew Keenan, Michael Netto, Neal Ruparelia and Joey Ongkingco each swam on three first-place relays to lead Watertown to victory during the Bobb Watkins Memorial Christmas Relays at Watertown High School.

Watertown scored 300 points, while Cooperstown finished second with 284 points. Lowville (253), Holland Patent (248) and Indian River (246) rounded out the top five out of eight teams.

During the meet $122.64 was donated to the Bobb Watkins scholarship fund at Lowville school.

The Cyclones set meet records in the 4x100 individual medley and 500 crescendo relays.

INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

MALONE BOYS, CANTON GIRLS WIn

Morgan Marlow won two events for the Malone boys and Gemma DelRossi won two for Canton’s girls on the opening night of the Section 10 season at SLU.

Malone’s boys finished with 124 points and Potsdam was second with 101. OFA had 98 points and Indian River was fourth with 88.

Canton’s girls won with 149 points and Malone was second with 97 with Potsdam coming in third with 70.

Marlow won the 1,600-meter and 3,200 runs for Malone. Corey Lamere won the 1,000 for the Huskies and Malone also took the 3,200 relay.

Indian River’s Darrius Bryant won the 55, long jump and triple jump.

DelRossi won the 600 and 1,000 for the Canton girls and Lindsay Proulx took the 55 hurdles. Potsdam’s Maddie Drechsel won the 55 and the long jump.

HOCKEY

IHC 2, CENTRAL SQUARE 2 (OT)

Jake Renzi put home the game-tying goal on a scramble during a four-on-four as the Cavaliers rallied for a tie against the Redhawks in a Section 3 Division I East game in Cicero.

Jordan Trudeau also scored, and goalie Grant Chamberlain stopped 18 shots for for Immaculate Heart Central (1-3-1, 1-1-1).

Adam Croteau scored one goal and assisted on the other, while Keegan Murphy made 40 saves for Central Square (2-3-1, 0-3-1).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 1, OFA 0

Brandon Short scored a power-play goal in the second period to give Norwood-Norfolk a win over the Blue Devils (2-2, 2-1) in a Division II game in Ogdensburg.

Brandon Richards made 13 saves for the Flyers (3-1, 2-1) and Dave Prudhomme stopped 13 shots for OFA.

CICERO-NORTH SYRACUSE 3, CANTON 0

Eric Hamilton scored one goal and assisted on another as the Cicero-North Syracuse shut out the Golden Bears (2-2) in the Canton Tournament.

Alexander Johnston made 13 saves for the North Stars (4-1).

WILLIAMSVILLE EAST 6, POTSDAM 0

Hunter Dee scored two goals to lead Williamsville East past the Sandstoners (3-1) in the other game of the Canton Tournament.

Adam Dentico stopped 22 shots for Williamsville East (5-1).

MASSENA 4, KENMORE EAST 1

Jordan Hart scored the game-winner on a power-play goal in the third period to lead Massena (3-2) past Kenmore East in the Salmon River Tournament in Fort Covington.

The Red Raiders scored all of their goals in the third period. Grayson Phillips, Tyler Young and Anthony Cortese also scored for Massena.

QUEENSBURY 2, SALMON RIVER 0

Teddy Nolan made 13 saves as Queensbury shut out Salmon River (1-3) in the other game of the Salmon River Tournament.

John Funiciello scored in the first period and Shane Konaly scored in the second period for Queensbury.
