Man charged with multiple counts of criminal mischief, harassment

City police charged Brian R. Swank, 29, of 905 Academy St., downstairs apartment, with multiple offenses following a domestic incident at his residence early Saturday.

He was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, three counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

According to police, Mr. Swank grabbed Heather Lyn Chamberlain, listed at the same address, leaving scratches on her back, and damaged several items in the residence. He also is accused of grabbing a second woman, Amy R. Benthal, 205 S. Indiana Ave., and damaging her phone when she attempted to call police.

Arrested at 4:41 a.m. Saturday at his residence, Mr. Swank was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending an appearance in City Court.
