MORRISTOWN Eleven people submitted applications for the towns vacant code enforcement position by Tuesdays meeting.
David J. Murray, town clerk, said two more were expected and all will be sent to the St. Lawrence County Civil Service Administration to check qualifications.
Timothy C. Tuttle, Oswegatchie code enforcement officer, has been working in Morristown and will continue until a replacement is found.
According to Mr. Murray, all but one of the applicants live in St. Lawrence County. One resides in Jefferson County.
