POTSDAM The Ogdensburg Free Academy boys basketball team used a strong third quarter to defeat Potsdam, 72-49, in an Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game on Thursday.
OFA (5-1 overall, 2-1 division) was tied 37-37 at halftime, but outscored the Sandstoners 18-4 in the third quarter to pull away.
Breton LaRose led the Blue Devils with 17 points and eight rebounds.
Matt Piercey scored 16 points for the Blue Devils, with 14 coming in the second half. Kinnon LaRose added 15 points for OFA.
Konnor Bigwarfe led Potsdam (0-2) with 14 points and nine assists and Owen Mitchell also scored 14 for the Sandstoners.
MALONE 79, CANTON 50
Malone outscored the Golden Bears 42-21 in the second and third quarters to produce a Central Division win in Canton.
Mitch Gallagher led Malone (6-0, 4-0) with 19 points. Kody Mulverhill, Harvey Smith and Austin Lamay each scored 13 and Alex Johnson tallied 10.
Bryant Wentworth led Canton (2-2) with 17 points.
MASSENA 70, GOUVERNEUR 44
Joe LaBelle scored 21 points to pace Massena (3-0, 2-0) in a Central Division win over the Wildcats in Gouverneur.
Zack Rusaw scored 10 points for Massena and Mark Horne led the Wildcats (1-5, 1-3) with 13 points.
CHATEAUGAY 74, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 34
Noah Bowes scored 16 points to help Chateaugay defeat the Panthers (0-2) in an East Division contest in Parishville.
Chateaugay (2-2, 1-1) outscored Parishville-Hopkinton 27-2 in the first quarter.
Trevor Lang scored 12 points for the Bulldogs, and Mike Burns led the Panthers with 16.
EDWARDS-KNOX 55, HAMMOND 26
Kaden Dandrow scored 25 points to help Edwards-Knox defeat the Red Devils (2-3, 2-2) in a West Division game in Hammond.
Tyler Tresidder added 10 points for the Cougars (4-0).
TUPPER LAKE 45, ST. LAWRENCE 44
Mitch Keniston scored 21 points and the Lumberjacks (4-1, 2-1) outscored St. Lawrence Central 33-17 in the second and third quarters to produce a North Division win in Tupper Lake.
Zane Ramsdell scored 13 points to lead the Larries (1-3, 0-1). Tyler Savage scored 12 points and Josh White added 10.

CHATEAUGAY 57,
PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 21
Courtney Boyea scored 22 points as Chateaugay (2-0) beat the Panthers in an East Division contest in Parishville. Makayla Fleury added 16 for the Bulldogs.
Jenna Converse paced the Panthers (0-2) with 12 points.

The Blue Devils (2-0) registered eight wins by pin to defeat Malone in Ogdensburg.
OFAs pins came from Tanner LaPiene (106 pounds), Brody Sheppard (113), Adam Rickett (126), Bailey Phelps (145), Nate Sarkin (285), Andrew Cole (182), Justin Pratt (195) and Cody Allen David (160).
