NORFOLK - The staff at Norwood-Norfolk Central School recently chose the Students of the Month for the month of October. The Students are selected for their academic achievements, integrity and leadership in the school and throughout the community.
Kylee Deon is the freshman student of the month. She is the daughter of Tasha and Todd Deon of Norwood. She likes to read, draw, sing in chorus and go swimming during summer. She participates in Key Club, Art Club and Bel-Aires. Kylees main goal in life is to be happy, and she would like to become a child protective case worker.
Quinton Maslin is the sophomore student of the month. He is the son of Andy and Kathy Maslin of Norfolk. He enjoys working and hanging out with friends. Quinton would like to go to college for heavy machinery upon graduation.
Sarah Deleel is the junior student of the month. She is the daughter of Miranda and Paul Deleel of Potsdam. She likes being around friends and family. She participates in Jazz Band and Key Club. Sarah wants to be a psychologist and would like to travel.
Taylor Hall is the senior student of the month. She is the daughter of Thomas and Brenda Hall of Norfolk. She enjoys swimming, camping, family, friends, and her two dogs.She participates in figure skating, softball, chorus, Bel-Aires, and Drama Club. Taylor plans to attend SUNY Canton next fall to earn her two year associates degree in early childhood to become a daycare provider/substitute teacher.
Each student that was chosen received a gift card from a local restaurant. The businesses that donated are the Hotel Grande and Al Smiths of Norfolk and The Hometown Café and Lobster House of Norwood.
