LOWVILLE A former town of Croghan resident recently completed the Lewis County Drug Court program.
Alex M. Widrick, 22, now of Albany, was sentenced Dec. 3 in Lewis County Court to three years probation, $31.50 restitution and $400 in court fees on charges of third-degree assault and falsely reporting an incident, to which he pleaded guilty March 12, 2010. A fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance charge also was dropped because of his successful program completion.
A five-year order of protection was issued on the victims behalf.
Mr. Widrick was accused of assaulting Jordan Hurley in October 2009, falsely reporting that his fathers car had been stolen in November 2009 and selling Ritalin in January 2010, all in the town of Lowville.
