Fresh on the heels of its in-store food drive, which donated nearly 12,000 food items to local food rescue organizations, Kinney Drugs is hosting two gift-giving programs in its stores to benefit less fortunate children and senior citizens.
Through Friday, Kinney Drugs is collecting new, unwrapped toys for children. During the Holiday Toy Drive, toys collected at each store will be distributed to children by a charitable organization within the stores community.
Kinney Drugs also will help brighten the holidays for seniors through its Be a Santa for a Senior program. Each Kinney Drugs store is partnering with a local senior care center to develop gift suggestions. Customers can review the suggestions and purchase gifts through mid-December for seniors who may not be able to celebrate the holidays with loved ones.
Gifts may be donated at any Kinney Drugs store. Each store will display the name of the partnering organization that will receive the donated gifts.
