A Watertown city councilwoman was involved in a minor property-damage crash at 3:08 p.m. Saturday at North Meadow and Coffeen streets.
City police said Councilwoman Teresa R. Macaluso, 54, of 155 Ward St., was driving from Black River Parkway onto North Meadow Street in a 2000 Honda sport utility vehicle when her vehicle was struck by a 1998 Buick four-door sedan, driven by Barbara M. Porter, 66, of 2996 Mechanic St., Copenhagen, that was making a right-hand turn from Coffeen Street onto North Meadow Street.
Ms. Macaluso told police she had waited for the traffic light to turn green and for the other vehicle to turn, then proceeded when the Porter vehicle didnt so right away. Ms. Porter indicated she was unsure of the color of the light when she made the turn.
No injuries were reported, and no tickets were issued.
