CARTHAGE — The Village Ecumenical Ministries Food Pantry has announced the times and dates for pickup of Christmas dinner baskets and Angel Tree gifts.

Items can be collected by those who signed up previously from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14; Saturday, Dec. 15; Monday, Dec. 17; Friday, Dec. 21, and Saturday, Dec. 22, at New Covenant Fellowship Church, 22791 West Street Road (County Route 42), which is about a mile past Carthage Area Hospital. Items also may be picked up from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, and Wednesday, Dec. 19.

There are still angels on the tree located at the pantry, 452 S. Washington St.

Call the pantry at 493-1341 for more information. Gifts must be returned to pantry by 2 p.m. Dec. 10.

“We have about 150 more angels this year than last year. That’s a big jump,” said Darlene A. Jensen, food pantry director.
