MASSENA - Santa and Mrs. Claus attended the monthly dance recently held at the Massena Community Center, 61 Beach St. The monthly dance is always from 6-10 p.m. the second Saturday of each month and is sponsored by the Massena Senior Citizens. All dances are open to the public and all ages.
Dances are held in the large, modern community room which is handicap accessible, with lots of seating and room to dance. Candlelight illuminates the room that is always decorated with a seasonal or holiday theme.
The Oshier Country Band, consisting of Colleen and Steve Oshier, daughter Brittany, along with Donnie Despaw and whoever else joins in, keep the dance floor filled with very happy dancers. During the bands intermission, line dancing is usually offered. The entertainment never ends and admission is $4.
Refreshments are sold. Hot dogs, fries, fried dough, canned soda and bottled water are $1 each. Coffee and hot tea are 50 cents.
