The parents of Kylie Smith and Jeffrey Byrne, both of Queens, announce the couple’s engagement.

Miss Smith, daughter of Brian and Julie Smith, New Bremen, graduated in 2005 from Beaver River Central School, Beaver Falls, in 2009 from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in human development and family relations, and in 2011 from the University at Albany, with a master’s degree in educational administration. She is a transfer admissions counselor at Pace University, Manhattan.

Mr. Byrne, son of Jeffrey and Linda Byrne, Port Washington, graduated in 2003 from Paul Schreiber High School, Port Washington, and in 2007 from SUNY Plattsburgh, with a bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management. He is a general manager at McDonald’s, Astoria, Queens.

A June 7 wedding is planned.
