CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators approved a modified resolution Monday dealing with the closure of its certified home health agency that eliminates a clause transferring clients to Health Services of Northern New York.

Mention of Health Services was removed because clients have the right to choose where they seek services if an agency decides to close, said Public Health Director Susan J. Hathaway.

The county’s closure plans for its CHHA are awaiting approval by the state Department of Health, she said.
