PHILADELPHIA — Michael F. Bashaw Jr., Philadelphia Primary School principal, has begun his new position as Thousand Islands Middle School principal.

During his time in the Indian River Central School District, he served as the primary school principal for about four years and previously worked as a music instructor and Evans Mills Primary School dean of students.

“We regret that he’s leaving,” said Indian River Superintendent James Kettrick. “He’s had a wonderful tenure here as both a music teacher and administrator.”

Mr. Bashaw was in meetings all day Thursday and was unavailable to comment.
