Watertown police are following leads for a burglary that happened overnight at the Sugarcreek store at Mill and East Main streets.
Lt. Frank J. Derrigo said an employee discovered the break-in about 5:30 a.m. after someone forcibly entered the store overnight. He would not say how the burglar got in or what the person took.
Police are following leads after investigators gathered evidence at the scene, the lieutenant said. Several police cars were seen at the store about 5:30 a.m.
The store was open for business later.
