LOWVILLE — A new auto parts store is to open this week at Lowville Plaza.

Advance Auto Parts has scheduled a grand opening and ribbon-cutting for 1 p.m. Friday at its new 7,000-square-foot location on the south end of the Route 12 plaza.

Most of the plaza’s main building has been vacant since late 2002, with only a Tops Friendly Markets on the northern end of the 89,190-square-foot structure.

An 11,100-square-foot space next to Tops is being prepared for a Family Dollar store, with completion expected in early 2013.

A few additional retail spaces are available for lease.
